Rolando Dy’s mixed martial arts career has taken him across the globe, going head to head against some of the toughest fighters out there. As he continues on his road to redemption at BRAVE Combat Federation, Dy is set to face Ho Taek “Spider” Oh in the promotions’ South Korea debut.
After approximately two years of inactivity, Spider is making a comeback at 28 years old representing Monster House, a team which has seen major success at BRAVE CF through the undefeated Featherweight phenom Tae Kyun Kim.
Oh will face Philippines Rolando Dy in a Lightweight clash set to take place at Samsan Gymnasium in Incheon, South Korea on the 30th of April. At 30 years old and coming off two unfortunate losses, Oh could be Dy’s final hurrah.
Dy made a nest in BRAVE CF in 2019, after having fought once for the organization two years prior. He lost in his comeback fight at Featherweight, but went up to Lightweight and went on to win two straight fights in the two matches he had in 2020. However, he lost two consecutive fights last year and is currently on a two-fight losing streak.
Spider made his mixed martial arts debut through the local mixed martial arts promotion Road FC, and began his full-fledged activities in TFC. In TFC Dream, which determined the TFC Lightweight Champion, Oh finished Jung Hyun Choi and Jung Min Kang to win the championship. He lost it to Woo Hyuk Choi at TFC 17, but went on to win six consecutive games.
Oh’s last fight was at UAE Warriors 14 in November 2020, a promotion very familiar to his upcoming foe Dy. Oh defeated Cuba’s Ronald Girones Sago with a triangle choke, however suffered an injury which forced him to hang his gloves and concentrate on recovering. Oh is making his BRAVE CF debut after spending two years focused on treatment and rehabilitation.
