Machaev Has Big Plans For BRAVE CF 40 And Beyond

Since the division system was established in the sport of Mixed Martial Arts, the status of double-champion, which means holding two belts in different divisions at the same time, is saved only for a handful of special talents.

A true prodigy of Mixed Martial Arts, Mochamed Machaev wants to join this distinct group becoming a two-division titleholder at BRAVE Combat Federation. Judging by how fast Machaev was able to leave his mark, it’s safe to say that this doesn’t seem to be out of his reach, at all.

Undefeated in his professional career, with nine wins in nine pro bouts, Machaev made his debut at BRAVE CF 34, back in January. In Slovenia, “The Beast”, as he’s also known as, not only beat Matjaz Vicar via unanimous decision, he did it in dominant fashion, without being threatened a single time.

After the COVID-19 forced hiatus, Machaev came back even hungrier and defeated Romania’s Ciprian Maris via Technical knockout between the second and third rounds, when Maris’ corner threw the towel. The bout took place at BRAVE CF 36.

Representing Austria but fighting by way of Stockholm, Sweden, where he trains at Allstars Gym, alongside the likes of Alexander Gustafsson, Ilir Latifi, and Khamzat Chimaev, “The Beast” is now ready to headline his first BRAVE Combat Federation fight night.

At BRAVE CF 40, next Monday, August 24th, Machaev will meet another undefeated phenom in Shoaib Yousaf. The winner of the fourth consecutive Swedish BRAVE CF card is being linked to a potential title shot in the Featherweight division.

But if many would be satisfied by having a shot for one belt, Machaev is already aiming for a second title shot, and he has his guns pointed to the Bantamweight kingpin Stephan Loman.

“I feel like I can do a lot at Bantamweight as well”, Mochamed said. “My body is that of a Bantamweight fighter. For now, I’m feeling very good at Featherweight, and I don’t think about it just yet. I want to win the next fight, which I’m very excited about. I want to fight for the Featherweight belt. And then I want to fight Stephen Loman. I don’t have any opinions to give out on him, but I am confident in myself and I think I’m a more complete, well-rounded fighter than Loman. I know I will face this guy soon and I smell victory”.
