Honorio Banario Finds New Inspiration As He Awaits The Arrival Of His Newborn Baby

Former ONE Featherweight World Champion Honorio “The Rock” Banario is more motivated than ever to perform to the best of his abilities with the expected arrival of his newborn son.

Banario shared that he and his wife Jessica who is expected to give birth this coming August, are both excited to see and to welcome their first-born.

Just got married last April, Banario cannot contain the happiness that he is feeling becoming a father, but quite similar to his professional mixed martial arts career, he admitted that raising his son properly will also pose a challenge.

“I am very excited, me and my wife we just can’t wait to see our baby. This will be very special cause it’s my first time,” Banario admitted.

“I am totally clueless about this, makes me even more excited.”

According to Banario, providing for his family needs on a daily basis and giving them a better life have always been his main priority.

“It’s a huge blessing for us. My goal is to be a good provider, a good teacher and a role model to him,” said Banario.

Being a first-time father, the 29-year-old Baguio City native finds an extra sense of responsibility he brings into training with, as well as an added dose of motivation.

“I’m even more motivated to train now and become a champion again cause I know I’m gonna need it in the future, so I can provide more for family and our baby,” said Banario

“This is such a huge development for me. I know I have to be better, I know I have to win,” he added.

“I want to show my first-born that I am one of the best in the sport.”
