BRAVE CF 71 headlining star Omar Solomanov has made it very clear that nothing or no one will stand in his way as he looks to clinch a world title shot on June 19, in Bahrain, when he takes on Ilyar Askhanov in the main event.
The illustrious BRAVE CF Featherweight belt later this year will be on the line four days later when reigning champion Roman Bogatov takes on KO machine Nemat Abdrashitov in the main event of BRAVE CF 72, and Solomanov is confident of his chances against both men.
“I watched Roman Bogatov’s last fights. I don’t see anything dangerous in him. I can say the same about Nemat. I will face either of them next. It’s not a problem for me. Whoever has the belt, I want to fight with him. Of course, I would prefer to fight with Bogatov. But this is MMA, I can’t say who will win that fight. I always have only one task – to go out and show everything I am capable of. I never conform to anyone. Everybody needs to adjust to me,” added the main event star.
Speaking of his upcoming clash in the first installment of BRAVE Combat Federation’s celebrated 2023 Kombat Kingdom, Solomanov is not perturbed, despite Askhanov having forged a fearsome reputation as one of the most ferocious wrestlers in the Featherweight division.
With a 75-percent finish rate, the physically imposing Kazakh has even gone up a division, earning a Lightweight title before debuting in the most-global MMA promotion – BRAVE Combat Federation. But despite all this, Solomanov remains confident of breaking Askhanov’s aura and is already zoned-in on the winner of the BRAVE CF 72 main event.
“Honestly, I watched only one of my opponent’s fights. Askhanov is a good fighter. He can wrestle and box. But he won’t be a problem for me. If he wants to stand, I can stand with him. If he wants to wrestle, I have no problems with that. I don’t care,” says Solomanov – one of the most well-rounded international fighters in the BRAVE CF stable currently riding a ten-fight win streak.
BRAVE CF 71, headlined by Solomanov vs Askhanov, will serve as a ”semifinal” of sorts, as the winner of this fight will face the winner of the BRAVE CF 72 main event, which features champion Roman Bogatov defending his 145-pound crown against Nemat Abdrashitov.
