Jeremy Pacatiw set to redeem himself in Manila at ONE 164

Team Lakay’s Jeremy “The Juggernaut” Pacatiw seeks to erase the memory of a heartbreaking defeat as he is scheduled to go toe-to-toe with Myanmar’s Tial “The Dragon Leg” Thang on the undercard of ONE 164 which takes place at the Mall Of Asia Arena in Manila, Philippines on Saturday, December 3.

Pacatiw is coming off a first-round KO loss at the hands of Brazil’s Fabricio “Wonder Boy” Andrade at ONE: FULL CIRCLE last February, which stopped his quest to continue his perfect start inside the ONE Circle

For the 26-year-old Baguio City resident, despite losing his lone fight this year, he sees his three-round bantamweight meeting against Thang as an opportunity to still end the year strong by reinserting his name into the winner’s column.

“This is a perfect opportunity for me to bounce back. I am very thankful to ONE Championship for this opportunity. I really want to win this fight and show everyone that I always strive to get better and I learned from my mistakes,” said Pacatiw

“That was not the start I’m expecting this 2022 and I don’t want to lose again – especially since I’ll be competing in front of my countrymen.”

Pacatiw stressed that he has made some crucial adjustments to his preparation as he desires to be on the winning track once again.

“Right now it’s all about conditioning, then improving my overall game especially my aggression and timing. You’ll see all the adjustments on December 3,” said Pacatiw.

Satisfied with the outcome of his training camp so far, Pacatiw believes that his forthcoming contest with Thang will be having result in his favor.

“We have a great environment in the gym. Especially, since most of my teammates will also be fighting on December 3. Everyone’s helping each other out. We’re all focused. We take our assignments seriously. We all want to win and make our Kababayan’s proud.”

With the amount of time and energy that he has put into training, Pacatiw is driven to show that he is one of the most exciting bantamweights in the world.

“Bantamweight division is one of the best divisions in ONE Championship, and I have no plans of wasting this opportunity to be part of this deep and exciting roster,” said Pacatiw.

“I am working very hard for this fight and on December 3, in front of my fellow Filipinos, they will see the more improved “Juggernaut.”
