BRAVE CF Germany To Include NFC Featherweight Title Fight ÖZYILDIRIM vs. COGA

BRAVE Combat Federation debuts in Bonn, Germany this August 6 in association with The National Fighting Championship (NFC). The newly crowned NFC champion Mert Özyildirim will defend his title against the former NFC champion Max Coga as the co-main event of the evening in one of the strongest weight classes in Germany, the Featherweight division.

A duel that could not be more explosive. Never before has a featherweight champion in NFC managed to defend his title two times in a row. Mert Öyzildirim (10-3-0) was able to snatch the title from Jarno Errens only in April of this year.  Dutchman Errens, in turn, claimed the title at NFC 7 in December 2021 with a sensational knockout after just 67 seconds against then-champ Max Coga.

Özyildirim (10-3-), from Balingen, Germany, trains on UFC veteran Peter Sobotta’s Planet Eater team. He was able to score victories over well-known names like Mohamed Trabelsi, Can Aslaner and Michael Rirsch and was one of the huge talents in Germany for a long time, until he had a little run of bad luck and lost to Benjamin Brandner and Jarno Errens. He only got better following the defeats as shown in the re-match against Errens, where he was able to secure the NFC title with a strategically outstanding fight.

‘Mad’ Max Coga (23-8-1) is one of Germany’s most renowned fighters, having competed in KSW, M-1 and the PFL among others in his career before deciding to fight in Germany again to popularize the sport in the nation. The Frankfurt nightclub owner is not only an experienced and red-hot fighter, he is also one of the most dazzling and popular figures on the German fight scene. His fights are frantically celebrated and wherever he competes, he turns the hall into a veritable witch’s cauldron. In his last fight against Jarno Errens, he started as the favorite and had to accept a painful defeat. All the more motivated he is now to get the title back.

In this duel two fighters meet, who are both eager to take the title home.
