BRAVE Combat Federation, the fastest-growing mixed martial arts promotion in the world today with a global presence in five continents, has added a pivotal Bantamweight bout to its highly-anticipated return to Russia on November 6.
Mochamed “The Beast” Machaev of Austria will square off with Russian spitfire Kasum Kasumov at BRAVE CF 55, which is set to emanate from the beautiful city of Rostov-on-Don.
Machaev—the 2020 BRAVE CF Breakout Fighter of the Year awardee—seeks redemption after yielding to Gamzat Magomedov by way of first-round knockout at BRAVE CF 52: Bad Blood last August.
Prior to his first career defeat, the 21-year-old Vienna native was riding high on a ten-bout winning streak—with three astounding victories under the organization’s banner.
The man standing in his way to re-enter the winner’s circle is Kasumov, a grappling wizard who holds a remarkable 13-1 win-loss slate with seven victories by way of submission.
Kasumov turned heads in his first two assignments under BRAVE CF, forcing Rany Saadeh to tap with the rare Von Flue choke in the second round of their November 2019 clash before strangling Dimitar Kostov with a first-round arm-triangle choke in October 2020.
The Bahrain-based outfit will be announcing more matches for BRAVE CF 55 in the coming days, as it gears up for an unforgettable return to Russia.
The show will be headlined by a Flyweight Tournament semifinal bout of epic proportions. MMA legend Ali Bagautinov takes on new generation stud Jose Torres for a place in the final against sambo world champion Velimurad Alkhasov.
