The Breakout Fighter of The Year for BRAVE Combat Federation in 2020, Mochamed Machaev is scheduled to fight for the first time in 2021. The Featherweight standout will make his Bantamweight debut on August 1st, when he faces former amateur world champion Gamzat Magomedov. As he gears up for a bigger weight-cut, ‘’The Beast’’ maintains his optimism and confidence.
A junior world champion in karate and kickboxing, Machaev has been honing his wrestling skills at the world-class All Stars gym, but still feels the striking aspect of the match-up against Magomedov can be the difference maker in his favor.
“He’s a typical wrestler, that’s it. In technical striking, he’s not on my level. He comes from a wrestling background so he has good wrestling, but we will see how good he really is’’, said Machaev, who predicts a easy win against Gamzat.
“It’s actually easy. I will strike with him, I will defend his takedowns, and I will get the finish, as planned in the very first minute of the fight.”
BRAVE CF 52: Bad Blood will be headlined by a vacant world title fight as Middleweight champion Mohammad Fakhreddine goes up to Light Heavyweight in an attempt to become the first-ever BRAVE CF two-weight champion. He takes on arch-rival and 205lbs top contender Mohamed Said Maalem. In the co-main event, Italian sensation Enrico Cortese takes on Rustam Chsiev in a Middleweight bout. The groundbreaking event will be hosted in association with The Folden Cage and marks BRAVE CF’s debut show in Italy.
