Dean Trueman Returns at Cage Warriors: CW 124

Former Cage Warriors featherweight champion Dean Trueman will return to the cage at CW 124 on 25th June.

The former champ will move up to lightweight to take on George Hardwick.

Speaking on Trueman’s return, Cage Warriors president Graham Boylan, said: “It’s going to be great to see Trueman back in the cage.

“We also get to see how he performs at lightweight against a tough opponent in George Hardwick.”

Trueman last fought at CW 109 in 2019 against Morgan Charrière, and has won 50% of his total wins by knockout.

On the announcement of his return, Trueman said: “I’m looking forward to stepping back in the Cage Warriors cage, it’s been too long.

“I have been scheduled to fight on a couple of the trilogy cards but for one reason or another, it hasn’t happened.

“Expect to see an even better version of me at lightweight.”

Hardwick returns to Cage Warriors following two years away from the promotion with a 6-1 record and had this to say about taking on Trueman: “I’m excited to dismantle a former Cage Warriors champion and make a statement to start my run towards the lightweight title.

“I’m incredibly hungry to right the wrongs I made in my Cage Warriors debut and show what I’m truly capable of in my return to the organisation.”

Cage Warriors fans can enjoy CW 124 on UFC Fight Pass and via Cage Warriors’ global broadcasting partners.
