Mokaev Beats Hussein in Thrilling Fight-of-the-year Contender

Expectation was high when Muhammad Mokaev and Abdul Hussein, two former IMMAF Amateur World Champions, stepped into the BRAVE CF Arena. But it’s safe to say that, whatever high hopes existed, they were not only met but completely shattered.

The bout was 15 minutes of non-stop scrambling, with some of the most beautiful and skillful transitions seen inside of an MMA cage in 2021. With both men showing outstanding resolution and not willing to concede an inch to the other.

The result was a very technical fight, one to be appreciated and rewatched many times by fight fans around the world, in which Muhammad Mokaev kept the hype traing going, remaining undefeated in his professional career, now at 5-0.

The fight showed that ”The Punisher” is ready for bigger and better things and belongs in the elite at both 125-pounds and 135-pounds.

“I was competing against a world champion too, I knew it’d be tough. But still I believe I might have underestimated him a little bit, I thought I was going to submit him but he’s tough, man, he’s a fantastic fighter and, well, everyone in the division will have to pay attention to me, because I’m coming”, he said after the fight.

Abdul, meanwhile, taught a lesson to the MMA world on how to combat wrestling – don’t try to fight it, go with it. Even though he came up short, he will be very proud of his performance, taking a round in two of the judges’ scorecards.
