MTK Global is delighted to announce the huge signing of IBF super-featherweight champion Joseph ‘JoJo’ Diaz on an advisory deal.
Two-weight world champion Diaz (31-1, 15 KOs) is regarded as one of the best fighters in the world, and is the latest big name American signing for MTK Global during its continued expansion into the US.
Diaz joins fellow American superstars Lorenzo ‘Truck’ Simpson and Jonathan Lopez by signing with MTK Global in the past week, making it another big sign of things to come stateside.
Diaz has looked sensational throughout his professional career, and in his last outing claimed the IBF super-featherweight title with a fantastic victory over Tevin Farmer in January. He also earned the WBA featherweight title following a superb win over Jesus M Rojas in 2018.
His incredible style makes him one of the most must-see fighters around to watch, having been involved in a number of extremely entertaining contests.
During his prestigious amateur career, he competed at the 2012 Olympics in London, and at just 27-years-old, the Californian native is destined for massive success in boxing for years to come.
Diaz said: “I’m very excited to announce that MTK Global and I are now working together.
“As a professional athlete it is very crucial to have a team looking out for my best interests, and I am proud to have MTK a part of it, with now being the most important time of my career.
“MTK has done a great job with some big names in the boxing world and as a champion it is essential to maximize opportunities both inside and outside the ring.
“I’m looking forward to the next few years with MTK, and I will continue to prove what I’m about. Most importantly, I want to thank God for blessing me with everything I am and what I stand for.”
MTK Global CEO Bob Yalen added: “We are honoured to welcome a boxing superstar in two-weight world champion JoJo Diaz to the team.
“His amazing record speaks for itself and he’s one of the best pound for pound boxers in the world, so to have him sign with MTK Global is a massive statement of intent in terms of our expansion into America.
“He’s already won world titles at two weights and currently holds the IBF super-featherweight belt, and we’re determined to help him build on that great success.
“His action-packed style means he is guaranteed to provide fireworks every time he steps through the ropes, and we’re proud to see how his amazing career unfolds.”
News on when Diaz will have his first bout as an MTK Global fighter will be announced in due course.
