As the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the Philippines increases, the importance of frontliners are felt more than ever.
ONE Championship star Danny “The King” Kingad paid tributes to these men and women – the doctors, nurses, health professionals, security guards, food processors, the police and many more and he believes they are truly the MVPs of this time.
“I am so grateful to our frontliners who are putting their lives on the line just to serve this country, especially now since the cases continue to rise here in this country,” Kingad shared.
“There are a lot of cases where doctors and nurses have already died and yet they are still there, working and serving us to the best of their abilities.”
Training at home and keeping himself updated with the news and development of the virus situation daily, all Kingad can do now is to do his part – stay at home and follow the government’s guidelines amid the pandemic.
“We all can help in this war against coronavirus. The best way for us is to follow the guidelines and stay at home so we can avoid contracting and spreading the virus. That is a big help, not only for us, but for the frontliners who are serving as well,” Kingad said.
“We all know that we are having shortages in beds in hospitals because of the rapid rise, so if we can follow instructions, this will be a big help in combating this virus.”
Kingad is aware of the enormous challenge everyone is facing right now but he is confident that with discipline, the Philippines can overcome.
“We just have to trust what the government is doing and follow their protocols. Unlike the frontliners, we don’t have to risk our lives to help, so we have to do our part and stay at home,” Kingad said.
‘It won’t be easy, but with discipline, I believe we can overcome the challenges we are facing now.”
