Rolando Dy Hungry for Statement Win in Brave CF Return

Hard-hitting Filipino Rolando “The Incredible” Dy is beaming with confidence ahead of what he expects to be an explosive showdown in Saudi Arabia.

On December 27, Dy restarts his climb atop the featherweight division when he takes on Anzor Abdulkhozjaev of Russia at BRAVE CF 33.

Less than 72 hours before his much-awaited return inside the Brave Combat Federation stage, “The Incredible” wants nothing more than to end the year with a statement.

“Now that the match is nearing, I am just relaxing. My weight cut is on point and just polishing some final preparations before I step inside the cage,” Dy said.

“I really want to maximize this opportunity because my previous bout was disappointing. I know that Anzor is strong and determined but I am confident that I will get the win in this match.”

Both men can end their much-awaited clash with just a single blow, so fans at the 24,000-seater Prince Abdullah Al Faisal Stadium Sports Hall should be on the edge of their seats from the opening bell.

Known as one of the most explosive finishers in the featherweight division, Dy has scored highlight-reel knockouts all throughout his career.

In his last Brave Combat Federation appearance at BRAVE CF 22 in Manila, Philippines back in March, the 28-year-old Davao City native destroyed Mehmosh Raza of Pakistan in the first round after landing a thunderous right straight which quickly prompted the referee to stop the fight, awarding Dy the TKO victory.

On the other hand, Abdulkhozjaev, who has a 9-1 win-loss slate is on a six-match winning streak that started back in April 2017 and has scored 6 out his 9 wins via stoppages. This will be his Brave Combat Federation debut and definitely, he is very eager to start his journey on a high note.

“He got power and speed. He’s a heavy hitter, but I believe that I can use that to my advantage. I also worked on my takedown defense and ground. This battle could go anywhere. Let’s just see who executes their game plan to perfection.” Dy said.

“We both know that we both have the skills to win this Friday, but I believe that I’m the smarter and stronger athlete here. I will show him that I am not a UFC veteran and a former World Champion for no reason,” he added.

Dy is not lacking in confidence for his final cage assignment this 2019. He knows that he has what it takes to capture the win. With the Brave Combat Federation Featherweight World Title on his sight, expect the best Rolando Dy to show up this December 27.

“My goal is to fight for the Brave CF Featherweight belt next year. If I want Bubba Jenkins and Brave Combat Federation to notice and consider me as the next challenger, I need to take out this Russian prodigy in an impressive fashion,” Dy revealed.

“I only have one game plan on Friday night and that is to break Anzor’s will. Either via knockout or submission, I’m going to finish him.”
