Bruno Pucci Excited For Return, Happy to Compete in Singapore

Two-time Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu No-Gi World Champion Bruno “Puccibull” Pucci can’t wait to enter the ONE Circle again on 22 November when he faces Shuya “Stealth” Kamikubo at ONE: EDGE OF GREATNESS in Singapore.

Pucci was out of action after his victory over Kotetsu Boku in January to process his residency papers in the United States. Now that his status in the US has been legalized, he, along with wife ONE Women’s Atomweight World Champion Angela Lee and brother-in-law ONE Lightweight World Champion Christian Lee, all hone their skill together at United MMA in Hawaii.

“It is all clear, I just got my green card,” Pucci said.

“I am super happy to be competing again after this 10-month layoff. The wait is over. I am officially part of Team USA. I would like to thank my wife, Angela Lee, and her family for all their support during his long process! I am so happy and grateful right now.”

“Looking forward to the new horizons in the land of opportunities.”

Now that he is back in Singapore, and back in action, “Puccibull” wants to continue his winning ways, which started when he defeated Xie Chao in November of 2018, followed by a win over former ONE Lightweight World Champion Kotetsu Boku last January.

Pucci is also looking forward to is showcasing his skills in Singapore, where he also spent a chunk of his career training with Evolve MMA. His last appearance in The Lion City was back in May 2014, where he lost to Major Overall. This time, Pucci wants to leave good memories in the city-state.

“Singapore, I am coming back,” Pucci said. “I cannot wait to see you all there.”

Pucci’s excitement for his return is reciprocated with hard work at both United MMA and Evolve MMA. Kamikubo will meet him at the Singapore Indoor Stadium riding a six-win streak, where the Japanese athlete plans to spoil Pucci’s homecoming.
