Brave Combat Federation has announced another bout for its much-awaited Philippines debut. BRAVE CF 22: Storm of Warriors, set for March 15th, in Manila, has added a Bantamweight fight between local stars Jayson Margallo and Rex de Lara. The all-Filipino duel will be a part of the show’s main card.
Jayson Margallo has a professional record of four wins and six losses. In his most recent cage appearance, Margallo bounced back and got a win over Mohammed Rashiddin Hamsa. Representing UGB MMA, in Marikina City, the bantamweight is set to make his Brave CF debut.
A product of Mindanao Ultimate MMA gym, Rex de Lara has already competed in 2019. He won his last bout by disqualification and moved up his professional record to 9-6. He’s currently riding a two-fight win streak and hasn’t lost since 2017.
“T-Rex” will make his Brave Combat Federation debut at home, hoping to get an eventual shot at Stephen Loman. Lara is known in the Philippines as only one of two men to defeat the current Brave Bantamweight champion. Loman hasn’t lost since the two faced each other back in 2016.
“The Sniper” will look to extend his unbeaten run in the main event of the evening. He will take on former Featherweight titleholder Elias Boudegzdame in search of his third title defense.
BRAVE CF 22: Storm of Warriors will mark the first time BRAVE CF holds an event in the Philippines. The country joins the likes of Brazil, Northern Ireland, and Morocco as hosts to a Brave CF show. BRAVE CF 22 will take place on March 15, at the Mall of Asia Arena, in Manila.
