Jeremy Pacatiw from Team Lakay was announced to compete at the co-main event of Brave 17 hosted on 27th October in Lahore, Pakistan. The event marks the first mixed martial arts event hosted in Pakistan and Pacatiw is the first fighter from Philippines to be announced to compete in Pakistan.
After Stephen Loman, headlining the main event at Brave 13 hosted in Belfast and the co-main event of Brave 9 hosted in Bahrain, Pacatiw is the second fighter from Philippines to be featured in the co-main event of the promotion. Pacatiw also will secure the record to be the fighter with most number of appearances in the promotion. Pacatiw has seven appearances in the past 17 editions of Brave Combat Federation.
Pacatiw has previously competed at Brave 14 hosted in Morocco against Keith Lee from the Unites States of America. The fight ended in split decision awarding a hard fought win for Team Lakay against Xtreme Couture. At Brave 17, Pacatiw will face Uloomi Karim from Team Fight Fortress, Pakistan.
Uloomi has a professional record of 7-4-0 and had competed in WSOF. The main event will feature a welterweight bout between Rodrigo Cavalheiro from Brazil and Abdoul Abdouraguimov from France.
Brave Combat Federation has confirmed that there will be more athletes from Philippines in the fight card and the growing popularity of the promotion in Philippines will prompt the organisation to focus talent scouting for Philippines. Live broadcast and replays of the fights will be available at Brave TV.
