Talks in Progress to Host Brave Combat Federation in Philippines

Mohammed Shahid, President of Brave Combat Federation held a meeting with His Excellency Alfonso Ver, Ambassador of Philippines to Bahrain. The Bahrain based global mixed martial arts promotion has featured athletes from Philippines in events hosted around the world including Bahrain, United Arab Emirates, Brazil, India, Mexico, Jordan, Indonesia and the United Kingdom. The exposure received for athletes from Philippines and the successful championship title defence by Stephen Loman prompted the fans to demand an upcoming event by the organisation found by His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa in Philippines.

Philippines is among the top destinations in the region for combat sports. Brave Combat Federation had hosted the first event in South East Asia in 2017 in Jakarta, Indonesia and had announced growing interests to host more events in the region. Kingdom of Bahrain hosts a sizeable expatriate community from Philippines and shares strong relations and mutually-beneficial ties between the Philippines. This includes initiatives in growing economic relations, fostering greater exchange and cooperation in trade investments, tourism, as well as culture and education. Hosting Brave Combat Federation in Philippines will ensure the growing interests in sports and media by the Kingdom of Bahrain under His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa to have a strong base in the South East Asia.

“Kingdom of Bahrain and the Philippines share a strong bond when it comes to nurturing relations, greater cooperation in trade investments, tourism, as well as culture and education. We have found yet another common ground when it comes to the passion that we share for combat sports. The historic title defence by the youngest champion in Brave Combat Federation, Stephen Loman and the return of the legend, Manny Pacquiao ushers the golden age of combat sports in Philippines where you see the continuous pursuit for excellence from the youngsters while the legends never cease to inspire and mesmerise not just Philippines but the whole world. Brave Combat Federation is committed to look forward to nurture the sport of mixed martial arts in such destinations and will be working towards the goal of creating a global eco-system for the sport and offer more opportunities for fighters, economy and growing relations”, said Mohammed Shahid, President of Brave Combat Federation.
