Stephen Loman, Bantamweight champion of Brave Combat Federation has declared that he will be taking the championship back to Philippines. Creating history as the youngest champion in Brave Combat Federation and also being the youngest athlete from Philippines to become a world champion, Loman will defend his championship in Belfast, United Kingdom against Frans Mlambo from SBG Ireland. Stephen Loman was crowned champion by His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa at Brave 9: The Kingdom Rises, hosted in Bahrain. Loman has fought 11 fights in his career out of which he has won 9 with never losing a fight by either submission or decision.
When it comes to the second time both the fighters are clashing, the ability of Mlambo to repel the wrestling game by Loman plays a key role alongside landing the viscious jabs, which had been fruitful in his past three fights. At the same time, Loman who had been credited for his wrestling skills had showcased drastic improvement in his striking game. Loman shocked Gurdarshan Mangat when he contested for the Bantamweight championship. Not only did the striking game of Mangat proved ineffective, but Loman’s aggression went unanswered knocking Mangat out in the very first round. However the prospect from the SBG Ireland had declared that he will have surprises up his sleeve.
“I will win at Brave Combat Federation and will continue to inspire the youth so that they will to fight to achieve their dreams. Nothing is impossible. I will bring the title back to Philippines.”, said Loman, Bantamweight champion of Brave Combat Federation. Bahrain which has a significant Filipino expatriate community has already engaged supporting Stephen Loman.
“The question we have in mind is what will Frans Mlambo do to defend the takedowns. It is a classic striker against a wrestler, it will be exciting with a champion on one hand and a challenger who has come back with the home fans in his end fighting for the gold. This will be one classic match to watch.”, said Mohammed Shahid, President of Brave Combat Federation.
