MMA Legend Compares Brave Combat Federation to Pride FC

Bertrand Amoussou praised the entry of Brave Combat Federation to Europe. Amoussou is the president of the French national sanctioning body, the Commission National de Mixed Martial Arts. Amoussou was a national champion in judo and a member of the French national team for ten years. He became the bronze medalist at the 1990 European Judo Championships. Amoussou became three-time world champion in Ju-Jitsu Combat. In 2004, Amoussou became the first Frenchman to win a Pride Fighting Championship bout. He also served as an ambassador for ju-jitsu at the 2010 Sport Accord Combat Games in Beijing. Amoussou is the pionneer of MMA in France taking part in 1995 at the 1st international Vale Tudo Championship in Rio De Janeiro.

“Brave Combat Federation found by Sheikh Khalid Bin Hamad Al Khalifa, is a new organisation that already made an impact in the MMA World. That itself is a great achievement. I really like the fact that Brave is going everywhere and especially in Europe. Brave reminds me a little bit of Pride FC. They will put big pressure to the other European organisations and force them to raise their standard. Which is good for the MMA industry”, said Amoussou.

“Middle east has been always very active with MMA with organisations like Desert Force or Cedar FC just to name 2 of them. The skill level of Middle Eastern athletes is growing up very fast as well. And now Brave Combat Federation is the biggest name out there and one of the biggest in the wold. I am sure within 2 or 3 years, Brave Combat Federation will be in the top 5 world MMA organisations.”, added Amoussou.

His younger brother, Karl Amoussou is set to fight in Brave Combat Federation on 9th June in Belfast. Karl will be facing Rorigo Cavalheiro in the welterweight division. The former Pride FC fighter was thrilled about the debut of his brother with the promotion. “We had a great fight camp with KHK MMA Fight Team in Bahrain. That was a great experience for him. We also had some training partners coming to MAA Fight Team Geneva, to help Karl for his next fight. Karl will be more than ready for his Brave Combat Federation debut. Be there and don’t miss the fight.”
